Since 1985 every summer we organise encampments for diabetic children between 8 and 16 years old. From the start, the ADC assumed the responsibility of their organisation and development.

These encampments are an excellent way to provide diabetic education mainly practical and allow, in a natural environment, to evade.

For the 10 days that the encampment lasts, we try to provide the knowledge that complements previous education, intending to make the children capable of resolving their own short-lasting metabolic problems and in general terms, this allows them to get a better adaptation of the treatment to the day-by-day life.

During the course of staying at an educational encampment we can notice how the children acquire growing confidence and better autonomy capability.

The main purpose is achieving that the children play, enjoy and spend nice holidays receiving, at the same time, the necessary knowledge to live completely normal.
